Romeo & Juliet Original Film

Social Media & Digital Content Lead

An original film commissioned by Sky Arts from the National Theatre to be broadcast on Sky Arts and PBS and distributed by BBC Studios. Available to stream on National Theatre at Home and NOW.

Produced a full social suite of digital assets with best-performing content including a socially optimised cinematic trailer, a fan-cam edit of Josh O’Connor as Romeo, ‘Kids Ask the Cast’ video of amusing questions for the cast, ‘William Shakespeare or Taylor Swift?’ cast challenge video, a clip of the Balcony Scene, a Facebook event for the broadcast, behind-the-scenes photography, and a making-of documentary piece about filming during the pandemic.

Worked closely with Press to acquire media content, including a Vogue ‘Never Have I Ever’ piece, and time together our efforts. Established a cross-posting relationship with Sky TV, to ensure effective distribution to their social channels.

Live tweeted the Sky Arts TX to ‘feel’ with the audience and encourage conversation using memes, gifs and relatable text posts.

Ran a social media native digital fundraising campaign with Development team to encourage audience support while the theatre was closed to the public.

Collaborated with Sky TV on a bespoke influencer gift box.
